The magical week of E3 news has just begun! No matter what you do, there is no preparing for the complete onslaught of video game news competing to make the biggest splash at the show. Here is what I’m expecting the Big Three are going to discuss during their press conferences:
Monday is the press conferences where most of the breaking news will be unleashed. Microsoft, Sony, EA, Ubisoft and more will be laying out their marketing strategies to kick off the pre-convention hype. So expect the usual Halo, Call of Duty, God of War, Gears of War, Battlefield 4, Assassins Creed 4, Rayman Legends as well as unannounced games that probably deserve more attention than these AAA titles. Of course there will be the big console reveals (minus prices) including that both Xbox One and PS4 will be available during the 2013 holiday season.
Then on Tuesday morning, Nintendo give a short (hour?) presentation focusing exclusively on games since they aren’t releasing a new console or handheld this year. Rumors talk about a new Smash Brothers trailer that will be shown at E3. I don’t know if my heart can handle waiting another two years for the new Smash Brothers to come out on both WiiU and 3DS. Since Nintendo loves connecting handhelds to their console, I’ll guess that the two Smash Brothers games will be able to connect for extra unlockables and custom stage transfers.
E3 is always about the games and this year will be no different. Make sure to be on the lookout for our E3 photos in the very near future. We will be taking a ton of photos so please bear with us as we digest the E3 experience after very long days walking around the Los Angeles Convention Center. Let us know in the comments what we should take a picture of at E3, if it’s awesome enough we might make it happen.
